About Us

Dr. Ramon Fonseca is a pediatrician with 16 years of experience. He was born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, raised in a working class neighborhood in the capital city, studied Medicine at the University of Honduras, he graduated as a General Practitioner, started to work in the private sector when he decided to come to the USA in search for a better life for him and his family.

Here in the USA started to work as a medical assistant while he was challenging the medical boards, also worked at a trauma center while gaining experience and mastering the English language, once he passed the boards he was admitted to a Pediatric Residency program at the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL (USF), he completed 3 years learning pediatrics at the former “All Children’s Hospital” in Saint Petersburg, FL, also at Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, FL. He completed a year of Academic pediatrics training at USF, then he took a job at a FQCHC (Federally Qualified Community Health Center) in the city of Frostproof, FL, took care of an underserved children’s population, this helped shaped Dr. Fonseca’s way of delivering health services to this families in need. Then an opportunity to work in the city of Orlando in another FQCHC was offered to him, he delivered health services in this settings for almost 12 years. During this time he built a strong relation and an outstanding reputation with the community he has served during all this years.

Now Dr. Fonseca has decided to pursue a dream he had since the beginning of opening his own pediatric practice, Fonseca Pediatrics. His commitment to continue delivering high and compassionate quality of pediatric health services to the children and adolescent community in the area of Saint Cloud and Kissimmee.

Dr. Fonseca is a husband, a father, and a grandfather who has dedicated his life to his family and his patients.

Our Philosophy
Fonseca pediatrics philosophy is to deliver children’s healthcare services of high quality the way our kids deserve since they are a vulnerable population in need of strong advocates, Dr. Fonseca wants to be part of this advocacy.

At Fonseca Pediatrics children are not treated as “little adults”. Children have their own physiology that needs to be recognize as such.

At Fonseca Pediatrics patients are treated the way I treat my own kids, with love and comprehension.
